In line with its focus on community empowerment through quality learning, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is dedicated to enhancing children's awareness and understanding of sustainability, encouraging them to actively contribute to protecting the planet for future generations. This year also offers a new opportunity to connect with mothers and educate them on climate change, sustainability, and overall bolstering their knowledge as parents.

Amanda Zhang, CEO and President, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia said, "Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s renewed partnership with Nicol David Organisation aligns with our corporate citizenship strategy, which advocates social mobility and inclusion by providing access to quality education. By equipping the “Little Legends” with essential knowledge and skills, we aim to empower them to lead their communities toward a more sustainable future. We are also proud to extend our impact through the “Ibu Legends” programme, supporting the mothers of these young leaders and fostering a holistic approach to community sustainability. Sustainability is for all ages, and through these initiatives, we are passionate about cultivating a sense of environmental responsibility across generations.”

Datuk Nicol Ann David, Founder & Head Coach, Nicol David Organisation said, “Our ongoing partnership with Mercedes-Benz Malaysia really shows how much we both care about nurturing the next generation of environmental stewards. Together, we hope to inspire these “Little Legends” and “Ibu Legends” to embrace sustainability and take active steps in safeguarding our planet. We believe that through this collaboration, we can unlock the potential within each child and mother, empowering them to make meaningful contributions to the environment and their communities.”

The handover ceremony was held in conjunction with the Ibu Legends workshop, organised by NDO, and hosted at Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s office. The workshop brought together 35 mothers from the recently launched “Ibu Legends” programme, offering them valuable insights into parenting techniques and discussions on climate change. The event also provided these mothers with the unique opportunity to test drive the latest Mercedes-Benz vehicles, as well as capture memorable moments through photos and videos.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is committed to further supporting the “Little Legends” programme by conducting four specialised workshops for its young participants. These workshops will address crucial sustainability topics such as global warming, pollution, and sustainable farming practices, helping to cultivate environmental awareness from an early age.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia will also introduce an exciting segment based on its Mobile Kids programme, designed to teach children the importance of road safety in a fun and engaging way. Through these initiatives, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia aims to equip the next generation with the knowledge and tools to contribute to a more sustainable future while also creating safer public spaces.

In the broader context, Mercedes-Benz embraces a sustainable, integrated business strategy, with sustainability at the core of its operations and guiding principles. In line with Mercedes-Benz’s Ambition 2039, the company remains focused on advancing sustainable mobility and minimising its environmental impact.
