Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ Coupé

The new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ Coupé’s agile response to driving commands and the overall performance offer an even sportier driving experience, which is particularly noticeable on the racetrack. More power, aerodynamic fine tuning with further reduced aerodynamic lift, and enhanced cooling contribute to increased driving dynamics and faster times on the circuit.

The second-generation AMG GT Coupé offers a generous feeling of space and good all-round visibility. High-tech components such as the AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with active roll stabilisation, up to 2.5° rear-axle steering, and active aerodynamics also sharpen the driving profile. Additionally, the sporty coupé puts its power to the road with the fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive.

Improved performance and optimised drivability on racetracks

The AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine with 450 kW (612 hp) ensures superior propulsion. It delivers 20 kW (27 hp) more than in the AMG GT 63, and the engine experts in Affalterbach have increased the maximum torque by 50 Nm to 850 Nm for even more powerful acceleration. This increase in performance was achieved by adapting the engine control unit. Power is transmitted through the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission. The new AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ Coupé impresses with its overall performance, especially at higher speeds. It sprints from zero to 200 km/h in just 10.9 seconds (0.5 seconds faster than the AMG GT 63). The top speed is reached at 317 km/h.

Extensively expanded cooler package

The AMG GT Coupé experts have reinforced the high-temperature and low-temperature cooling circuits so that the drivetrain does not get too hot even under increased load. Two radiators are now positioned in the left and right front wheel arches. This increases the cooling performance of the drivetrain and thus the overall performance of the vehicle on the racetrack.

The top-mounted radiators of the differentials on the front and rear axles and the transfer case of the fully variable all-wheel drive AMG Performance 4MATIC+ are now actively cooled. With the help of electrically operated water pumps, the coolant circulates in the corresponding cooling circuits and can therefore dissipate the heat better and more continuously via the top-mounted radiators.

The new geometry of the air guide vanes on the underbody and the revised brake cover plates also channel more air to the brakes. This increases durability and prevents excessively high brake temperatures.

Increased aero performance

The aerodynamic fine tuning also increases the overall performance in terms of longitudinal and lateral dynamics. The aerodynamics experts and the driving dynamics specialists have worked closely together here. The redesigned front apron is even more dominant. It integrates additional air deflectors made of visible carbon-fibre around the enlarged side air intakes. The new AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ Coupé also features active aerodynamic profile in the underbody, the AIRPANEL active air control system in the front apron, and the aerodynamics package with a fixed rear wing on the tailgate. The aerodynamic lift on the front axle is reduced by over 30 kilograms. This results in even more precise steering behaviour. The new AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ Coupé also has additional air deflectors on the underbody - similar to those on the Mercedes-AMG ONE. These fins, which are located at the height of the front and rear axles, accelerate the airflow on the underbody. All measures are coordinated and interact with the rear wing concept, which increases downforce on the rear axle by around 15 kilograms.

AMG ceramic high-performance composite braking system

The AMG ceramic high-performance composite brake system with six-piston fixed callipers at the front and one-piston floating callipers at the rear is equipped with 420-millimetre brake discs on the front axle. As in motorsport, performance-oriented brake pads are used. The brake system reduces weight, particularly the unsprung masses. Further advantages are their even greater durability and resistance to fading under heavy braking, which guarantee fast lap times. The brake system also excels with a long service life and spontaneous response behaviour. This is also a key factor for a high level of safety in everyday life on the road.

Motorsport feeling for the exterior and interior

The new AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ Coupé impresses from every perspective with its athletic design. Its 21-inch AMG cross-spoke forged wheels paired with black-painted brake callipers and AMG Night Package II lend an even more assertive presence. Further emphasising its connection to motorsport, the AMG Exterior Carbon Fibre package features a front splitter, trim strips in the side sills, diffuser, and AMG fixed rear wing aerofoil, all crafted in high-quality carbon-fibre. Complementing these details are the DIGITAL LIGHT with projection function, logo projection with AMG Pattern, and an AMG fuel cap.

Get in and enjoy the exclusive sports car ambience. The interior of the new AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ Coupé exudes a compelling sense of performance and emotion. It features AMG Performance seats in nappa leather / MICROCUT microfibre, AMG Performance steering wheel in carbon fibre design / MICROCUT microfibre, AMG carbon-fibre trim, MANUFAKTUR roof liner in black MICROCUT microfibre, and seat belts in yellow.

At the heart of the cockpit is the intelligent MBUX multimedia system, combining a 12.3-inch driver display with an 11.9-inch central display. Enhancing comfort and connectivity, the new AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ Coupé also features a head-up display and MBUX Augmented Reality for Navigation, projecting relevant driving and navigation information directly into the driver’s field of vision.

For those taking the new AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ Coupé to the racetrack, AMG TRACK PACE functions as a virtual race engineer, enabling precise analysis of lap, sector, and acceleration times on closed courses. Everyday comfort is equally well considered, with the ENERGIZING Package, THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control, and ENERGIZING AIR CONTROL. The Burmester® surround sound system with 11 speakers further completes the cabin with an immersive audio experience.

Motorsport Collectors Edition

For an especially discerning collector, Mercedes-AMG also offers a highly exclusive Motorsport Collectors Edition, limited to just 200 vehicles worldwide. Built upon the new AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ Coupé, this special model celebrates Mercedes-AMG's motorsport heritage through distinctive design elements inspired by contemporary Formula One® racing liveries.

Finished in obsidian black with an exclusive Mercedes-Benz Star Pattern, the Motorsport Collectors Edition features numerous exterior accents in PETRONAS colours. The all-new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4-Door Coupé redefines performance: With extreme power, enormous continuous performance, highly precise driving dynamics, and a thrilling AMG intensive driving experience, the 4-door sports car catapults performance and driving pleasure to a new level. The 4-Door Coupé is based on the high-performance AMG.EA architecture and consequently underlines Affalterbach's pioneering spirit with numerous world firsts.

Central to this is a newly developed drive concept, strictly designed for high performance, which is being used for the first time in a series-production EV. It utilises a new, highly innovative electric motor technology, so-called axial flux motors, combined with a high-performance battery. The result is a drive unit that not only impressively delivers peak power but can also call upon it repeatedly and continuously, thereby shifting the benchmark in the high-performance segment.

Outstanding performance and continuous power thanks to a revolutionary drive concept

Mercedes-AMG continues its impressive tradition of high-performance drivetrains and is ushering in a new level of performance in the all-new AMG GT 4-Door Coupé. At its core are revolutionary axial flux motors that work hand in hand with a completely new battery technology. It is equipped with three axial flux motors and delivers an output of up to 860 kW (1,169 hp). The newly developed battery concept uses directly cooled cylindrical cells with a special cell chemistry that ensures uniform temperature distribution and high-performance stability under continuous load.

Inspired by Formula 1, developed in Affalterbach: The AMG high performance electric battery

The high-voltage battery of the all-new AMG GT 4-Door Coupé is a completely new development and the result of concentrated expertise. It combines experience from the Mercedes-AMG ONE hypercar, the uncompromising performance philosophy of Formula 1®, and the deep know-how of Mercedes-AMG’s top engineers in Affalterbach, together with Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains (HPP) in Brixworth, England. This “AMG High Performance Electric Battery” (AMG HP.EB) is the key to the vehicle’s outstanding overall performance. It enables not only high output, but also performance that can be called upon repeatedly, combined with impressively fast energy absorption and a high-power density.

Three key aspects contribute significantly to this outstanding performance capability: newly developed battery cells, an innovative direct cooling system for each individual cell, and a comparatively high voltage. Its 800-volt architecture, newly developed cylindrical cells and direct cooling of every individual cell support high continuous power, rapid energy absorption, and stable performance under sustained load.

AMG Performance Charging

Complementing the advanced battery technology is the AMG Performance Charging system, designed to support ultra-fast charging and long-distance driving. At suitable infrastructure, the vehicle is capable of charging at up to 350 kW DC, allowing rapid energy replenishment while intelligent battery pre-conditioning and thermal management ensure consistently high charging performance.

With meticulous attention to detail, the development team has created a bespoke, vehicle-specific driving experience for V8 enthusiasts for the all-new AMG GT 4 Door Coupé. The AMGFORCE S+ drive programme delivers an unparalleled and immersive V8 experience with authentic shifts, and an adapted driver display in the central-tube design. The sound portfolio, which is patent-pending, blends the legendary AMG V8 acoustics with innovative electric technology.
