Kuala Lumpur. Mercedes-Benz Malaysia recently hosted the 2025 MercedesTrophy National Final, bringing this year’s tournament to a successful close. Now in its 35th edition, the MercedesTrophy continues to be one of the most illustrious amateur golf series globally, spanning over 60 countries with its legacy of performance and excellence.

This year’s tournament teed off with four qualifying rounds, the first three held at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort in Selangor, followed by the final qualifying round at the stunning Forest City Golf Resort in Johor Bahru. The top five winners from each round advanced to the National Final, which took place on 19th June at the spectacular The ELS Club Desaru Coast, Johor, where the championship course presented a true test of skill, strategy, and composure for all participants.

The 2025 MercedesTrophy National Final Malaysia concluded with three exceptional golfers emerging as champions in their respective categories. Tengku Baderul Zaman Ibni Sultan Mahmud triumphed in Category A, Mr. Muhamad Khairi bin Zakaria claimed the title for Category B, while Mr. Chong Mun Hoe secured victory in Category C. Each golfer displayed remarkable precision and poise, reflecting the spirit of excellence that defines MercedesTrophy.

The tournament was further elevated by an exquisite selection of prizes and exclusive merchandise, headlined by the all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ Electric Art Line as the coveted Hole-In-One prize. In a standout moment, Mr. Tan Wan Fook claimed the Drive to the Major title, earning an exclusive, all-expenses-paid experience at The Open 2025, taking place from 16th to 21st July.

Adding to the prestige, the top three finalists in each category, determined by the highest Stableford points, were awarded the grand prize of an all-inclusive trip to the MercedesTrophy 2025 World Final. This esteemed global event will be held from 28th September to 2nd October 2025 at the luxurious 5-star hotel 'Der Öschberghof', set against the tranquil backdrop of the Black Forest, with panoramic views of Lake Constance and the Swiss Alps. Together, the finalists will represent Malaysia at the World Final.
