Covid-19 precautionary measures by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia

Given the official implementation of the Movement Control Order under the Prevention and Control of Diseases Act 1998 and the Police Act 1967 issued by the Malaysian Government to minimize the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia will take the following measures from 18th March 2020 to 14th April 2020.

 

  • All Mercedes-Benz authorized dealers nationwide will be closed during this period.
  • Mercedes-Benz local production facility in Pekan, Pahang will remain closed.
  • All routine service and maintenance and/or repairs will not be carried out at dealerships. Customers with bookings will be contacted to reschedule.
  • Service24h Roadside Assistance remain operational for emergency breakdown and technical issues.
     

In this ever-evolving situation, the health, welfare, and safety of our employees and customers remain a top priority. We will closely monitor the situation and work with the relevant authorities to help the industry maneuver through these challenging times.

  • Are service centers going to be closed? If no then what are the necessary measure being taken for customers and employees on site? Are online appointments available? 
    Yes it will be closed from 18thMarch - 14thApril. Online appointment booking is still available but no bookings can be done between 18thMarch - 14thApril.


  • For customers who face a vehicle breakdown, what are the options available? Is the 24 hrs breakdown service open?
    Yes, for our customers with a breakdown or technical issues we are here for you.


  • Customer who have service schedules booked during this period, what are their next steps?
    Dealers will be calling all customers for rescheduling of appointment.


  • Will there be an extension to the service intervals that will have no impact on the warranty?
    Yes there will be, this will be communicated by the customers’ servicing dealers.


  • Will mobile service be activated?
    No, all maintenance service will be conducted after the 14th April 2020.


  • Is there a hotline number that MB customers can call for further information?  
    Customers can contact 1-800-88-1133 for more information.


  • Will car delivery for new owners be put on hold/any delay?
    Yes it will be put on hold until after 14th April 2020.
 
  • Will the automatic moratorium apply if I financed with Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia (MBSM)?
    Please be informed that Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia is not in the category of a Licensed Bank or Financial Institution under the purview of Bank Negara Malaysia. As a result, the automatic moratorium directive does not apply for Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia. Unfortunately, we will have to continue to accept all monthly instalments due for now.
