Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia reopens with heightened standard operating procedures to keep safety at the forefront.

KUALA LUMPUR, 23 AUGUST 2021 - Following the relaxation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) by the Malaysian Government, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia will officially resume its business with strict health and safety protocols in place following approval given by the government.

 

Ms. Sagree Sardien, President & CEO of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia said “The safety of our customers and employees are our top priority. We will continue to closely monitor the Covid-19 situation while ensuring strict implementation of SOPs and safety precautionary measures at all our premises with Mercedes-Benz Star Shield. We urge the community to stay safe and vigilant in these challenging times and together, we will overcome and prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.”

 

Other information and measures by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia include:

  • Mercedes-Benz sales showrooms are open in compliance with the guidelines set by the National Security Council. However, test drives are still not allowed.
  • Pursuant to the guideline, customers / prospects are required to complete their vaccination* to visit the premise.
  • Customers can also visit Mercedes-Benz’s Virtual Showroom to browse their desired vehicle and request a quote from their preferred dealership.
  • Routine service and maintenance and/or repairs carried out at dealerships will resume with limited capacity and stringent health protocols in place.   • Local production facility in Pekan, Pahang is in operation with limited capacity.

 

The Mercedes-Benz Star Shield is a comprehensive safety plan to ensure customer’s peace of mind during showroom visits or when sending their vehicles for routine servicing, maintenance and repairs.

 

The precautionary measures include temperature checks before entering dealerships, the provision of masks and hand sanitizers to customers, social distancing practices via limited customers per entry into showrooms, as well as cleaning and sanitization of all vehicles and common areas. Vehicles will also be sanitized and wrapped with a seat and steering cover before any scheduled servicing and maintenance.

*Individuals with vaccines requiring 2 doses (Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Sinovac) must have completed 14 days from the date of the second dose administration. Individuals with vaccines requiring 1 dose (Johnson & Johnson and CanSino) must have completed 28 days from the date of administration.
