    It all begins with a design idiom that words can barely describe. Characterised by the typical proportions of a large luxury coupé. In the form of a long bonnet with imposing powerdomes and an elegant roof line including frameless side windows. And a rear end that encapsulates the imposing presence of the Mercedes-AMG S 63 4MATIC+ Coupé.

    Nobody likes doing without luxury. Not even at 200 km/h. Perfectly finished materials ensure a top-class driving experience: the specially developed AMG sports seats in fine nappa leather with AMG-specific seat upholstery layout. They offer optimum lateral support and the highest level of comfort – on long journeys, too. Nothing and nobody stands in the way of the driving pleasure and the optional 20-inch AMG cross-spoke forged wheels. The necessary control is provided by the AMG high-performance compound braking system with the option of red-painted brake callipers. The AMG ceramic high-performance compound braking system is also available as an option.

    Luxury and performance are no contradiction in terms. There is no denying the motorsport origins of the Mercedes-AMG S 63 4MATIC+ Coupé – it's in its DNA.

    It is patently tangible and visible: a tap on the accelerator brings the AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine to life, ready to deliver an output of 450 kW<p>Figures for rated output and rated torque pursuant to Regulation (EC) No. 715/2007 in the currently applicable version.</p> (612 hp) and 900 Nm of torque<p>Figures for rated output and rated torque pursuant to Regulation (EC) No. 715/2007 in the currently applicable version.</p> and accelerate the Coupé from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. The engine features the proven biturbo design in which the two turbochargers are located in the V between the cylinder banks rather than on the outside – an arrangement which specialists refer to as the "hot inside V". This basic principle enables a compact engine design and more spontaneous response for the turbochargers. As a result of features such as cylinder shutoff, it is considered to be one of the most efficient V8 power units in its segment.

    Inspiring driving dynamics come courtesy of the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission and the AMG RIDE CONTROL+suspension – right from the off, thanks to the RACE START function. The striking AMG-specific radiator grille catches the eye straight away. A motor-racing feature that optimises aerodynamics and the supply of cooling air. Its basic form can be traced back to the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SL racing car.
