This is based on a concept that makes every journey in a Mercedes-Benz safe and unique: Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive. Because the time you spend behind the wheel is your time. Time for relaxation. Time to replenish your energy. So that, first and foremost, you reach your destination safely, but are also always relaxed when you get there.
Bringing light to darkness.
MULTIBEAM LED adapts the headlamps extremely rapidly and precisely to the current traffic conditions, e.g. on bends, on the motorway or in fog.
The innovative technology makes continuous main beam possible without dazzling other road users. Individually controllable LEDs direct the light precisely so as to blank out other vehicles whilst illuminating the surroundings with almost daytime-level brightness. When you unlock the vehicle, the welcoming light greets you with an extraordinary light show.
COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS combines radar-based distance warning with braking assistance and autonomous partial braking.
The system gives the driver a visual warning if the distance to the vehicle in front is insufficient. If the danger of a collision is detected, an acoustic warning signal is emitted; thereafter, the driver's braking action can be supported, and if the driver does not react, the vehicle speed can be autonomously reduced.
The PRE-SAFE® system can identify critical driving situations in advance, and initiate preventive occupant protection measures if an accident threatens.
For instance, these include reversible belt tensioning and automatic closing of any open windows. PRE-SAFE® PLUSPart of the optional Driving Assistance Plus package. additionally extends the system with protective measures before and during a rear-end collision. It alerts the driver behind with a warning light when it recognises the danger of a rear-end collision, for example.
The 360° cameraAvailable in conjunction with the Parking package only. allows parking and manoeuvring with a realistic all-round view. Obstacles below the window line are also made visible to the driver.
Thanks to four networked cameras, the system is able to show a bird's-eye view of the vehicle and its surroundings in the Audio 20 CD or COMAND Online, etc. display. The vehicle's track is also shown depending on the steering angle.

COMAND Online gives you everything you need on a journey – whether that be navigation, telephone, audio, video or internet. For a full overview and control of all the media.
Information is shown in a 20.3 cm (8-inch) high-resolution display. Operation is easy and intuitive. In combination with a suitable mobile phone it is possible to call up internet pages when the vehicle is stationary and to use Mercedes-Benz Apps such as POI search, weather or internet radio while driving.
