KUALA LUMPUR. Mercedes-Benz Malaysia today announces the availability of the new Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 4MATIC designed for both sporty agility and lifestyle versatility. As the entry point into the Mercedes-Benz SUV family, the new locally-assembled GLA 250 4MATIC brings fresh design and latest technology to the forefront of innovation and style.

• It showcases a striking redesign with a refreshed front apron and grille, complemented by sleek, updated headlight and taillight. The interior is upgraded with the latest MBUX infotainment system and new multifunction sports steering wheel for a refined driving experience.
• The new GLA 250 4MATIC is now available at the Mercedes-Benz Store or our retail showrooms with the price of RM 295,888 inclusive of 10% Sales Tax (for Peninsular Malaysia).

The GLA 250 now features 4MATIC variable all-wheel drive with torque-on-demand system. Excess torque is transferred to the rear axle as needed. Especially on wet roads, drivers can feel the improved driving and directional stability. The vehicle includes a 2-litre four-cylinder unit with eight-speed DCT dual-clutch transmission. It can achieve 0-100 km/h acceleration in 6.8 seconds thanks to 165 kW (224 hp) and a maximum torque of 350 Nm.

To further reduce consumption, the petrol engine in the new GLA 250 4MATIC is now electrified. The vehicle has an additional 48-volt on-board power supply for the belt-driven starter-generator. Its briefly available additional power of 10 kW supports agility when starting or is used for quick boosting. The starter-generator also increases comfort: in addition to low-vibration and low-noise engine starting, it also enables coasting with the combustion engine switched off. 

Exterior

The GLA 250 4MATIC with AMG Line exterior features a diamond radiator grille with pins in chrome and bonnet with discreetly suggested power domes which underlines the self-confident appearance. The redesigned rear bumper now comes with a diffuser, enhancing the vehicle's sporty exterior even further. The front apron is complemented by a silver simulated underguard, adding to the vehicle's commanding and confident presence.

The GLA 250 4MATIC has a modernised light signature featuring powerful LED High Performance front headlamps equipped with Adaptive Highbeam Assist and LED rear lights. The headlamps illuminate the road with a wide beam and pleasant warm-white light much more precisely and generously. The GLA 250 4MATIC stands on 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels. Similar to the Mercedes-Benz GLA 200, the GLA 250 4MATIC is also offered in the new Spectral Blue metallic paint finish.

Interior

The free-standing double screen is one of the highlights of the significantly upgraded interior. It now includes two 10.25-inch displays for the instrument cluster and multimedia screen respectively. They run on the latest generation of MBUX allowing Smartphone Integration with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For further connectivity, the vehicle comes with USB Package Plus. There is a total of 5 fast-charging USB-C ports which are now all illuminated.

The GLA 250 4MATIC features sports seats with ARTICO man-made leather / MICROCUT microfibre upholstery. The light longitudinal-grain aluminium trim lends the interior an individual look. The multifunction sports steering wheel is upholstered in Nappa leather. DYNAMIC SELECT accessible via the steering wheel touch-control panels or the central display offers different drive programs with setting options for the engine, transmission, suspension, and steering.

For an added layer of comfort, THERMATIC automatic climate control with 2 climate zones allows the driver and front passenger to set the temperature separately for their sides. With a total of 64 colours available, the ambient lighting offers a suitable lighting scenario according to personal preference. For example, 10 fascinating colour themes set the emotional stage for the air vents, doors, or instrument panel.

In terms of safety, the GLA 250 4MATIC is equipped with Blind Spot Assist and Exit Warning Assist keeping the driver alert while maneuvering city streets and cruising along highways. Additionally, the vehicle also comes with Parking Package with reverse camera, Active Parking Assist, Sports Brake System, and Active Brake Assist. KEYLESS-GO Comfort package, EASY-PACK tailgate, HANDS-FREE ACCESS, GUARD 360° Vehicle protection, and TIREFIT are included as well.
