"Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia is committed to creating a better future within the communities surrounding it – through its sustainability, social and corporate initiatives. With sustainability being our guiding principle and a key corporate strategy, we have consistently created a positive impact within the communities this year through our CSR initiatives which included the 'Grants for Good' campaign and our renewed partnership with the Nicol David Organisation’s ‘Little Legends’ initiative. While giving back to society, we also fostered employee camaraderie and relations, unity and cohesiveness across the company towards good causes.” added Zhang
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s employees embraced the true essence of the season by playing an integral role in brightening the holiday season for the children. With genuine care and attention, they bought gifts for each child, ensuring that the presents aligned with the individual wishes expressed on their wishlists. These gifts were then personally delivered by the employees, affectionately referred to as the "elf squad," in a fleet of Mercedes-Benz EQ vehicles transformed into festive sleighs adorned with reindeer decorations.
Upon their arrival, the elf squad engaged the children in games and placed their wishes on the Christmas tree. The children also had the chance to showcase their creativity by crafting paintings reflecting the essence of Christmas and sustainability. A surprise appearance from Santa brought delight to the children as he handed out the personally curated gifts. The event concluded with the children and the elf squad sharing a delightful meal, bringing smiles all around.

The Mercedes-Benz Grants for Good Programme
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is committed to creating a better world with, and for Malaysians. A total of RM100,000 was donated to seven nonprofit organisations under the “Grants for Good” programme including Food Aid Foundation, Zoo Negara Malaysia, Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation, Hospis Malaysia and more. This unique initiative empowers employees to nominate and vote for their preferred nonprofits, placing them in the driver's seat of the donation selection process.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s 2023 Corporate Citizenship strategy focuses on three main topics namely environmental sustainability, education and community relief. These corporate responsibility pillars outline the avenues through which resources are channeled to make a tangible and long-lasting impact.
Earlier this year, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia also announced the renewal of its partnership with Nicol David Organisation's (NDO) Little Legends programme with a donation of RM100,000. Through the Little Legends sustainability workshops, employees took part in educating the next generation on the importance of leading a sustainable lifestyle.
