Fast access to the right Rescue Card is crucial in an emergency. That's why Mercedes-Benz was the first automotive manufacturer to develop the Rescue Sticker with QR code. The sticker is affixed to the inside of the fuel filler flap and to the opposite B-pillar – two points on the vehicle which remain practically undamaged in most accidents according to statistics. Emergency services can scan the QR code on the sticker to gain direct access the right Rescue Card for the particular vehicle via tablet or smartphone.
