On June 28/29, 1926 the merger of Daimler- Motoren-Gesellschaft with Benz & Cie. to form Daimler-Benz AG is decided.
The two companies had already enjoyed extremely cordial relations as part of a community of interests for two years prior to the merger.
Berlin was chosen as seat of the company, its central administration was located in Untertürkheim. The two brands were fused to form the single brand "Mercedes-Benz".
