The "Maybach Myth" – experience legends

The Museum for Historical Maybach Automobiles in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz is the only exhibition in the world to exclusively present the history and products of Wilhelm and Karl Maybach. It tells the story of these two brilliant designers, their association with Gottlieb Daimler and Graf Zeppelin, as well as the story of Maybach Motorenbau GmbH.

About the Museum

In an exhibition area totalling around 2500 square metres, numerous exhibits help to illustrate the history of Maybach Motorenbau GmbH, its engines, transmissions and the vehicles themselves. A wide range of automotive memorabilia – from handbooks to ashtrays – as well as the personal stories of some of the Maybach motor cars and their prominent first owners, bear living testimony to times gone by.
