In the practical sessions you will be put through the paces with lessons on optimum braking techniques – when cornering and on straights. You will test the car’s manoeuvrability under a variety of road and tyre friction coefficients; and also experience how it feels to drive with and without ESP®.
We’ll even demonstrate how a vehicle responds in specific critical situations. Each and every exercise will be as realistic as possible and the experts at the training track will equip you with all the moves that are so essential to improve your driving skills. Our programmes that we have lined up for you includes:
Slalom 1 / 2 / 3
It’s test of precision with sheer curves placed between the sections. The objective of this intensive 45-minute exercise is not to speed but to complete the course as smoothly as possible. Other exercises include steering manoeuvres, correct handling and driving positions.
Braking
Here is where a combination of emergency braking and a fast lane change – without braking – take place. In Braking, you will encounter the influence of speed on the length of the braking distance, the effect of the force with which the brake is applied and how to steer in an emergency braking situation.
Double Lane Change
This exercise puts you through an emergency steering manoeuvre situation – without the use of brakes. ESP will be activated. It is different from the “regular” lane change as the driver has to steer with marshaled precision.
Taking on Curves
Learn how to drive and brake in on bends. This invaluable training recreates real-life traffic situations. Find out more about what causes understeering and oversteering plus their effects, as well as the pitfalls of extreme behaviour when cornering.
Emergency Manoeuvres
Exercises will centre on braking and swerving on different types of road surfaces (half asphalt/half skidpad). Using two different road surfaces, participants will experience how a vehicle behaves in an emergency braking situation on a surface that is slippery on one side – with and without the aid of ABS. |
