In September 2006, the best of the best players came together for the final challenge in the World Final. Players who qualifed for the World Final are those who have won the Asian Final’s tournament. The international character of the MercedesTrophy culminated in Stuttgart, Germany – a tradition that has been upheld since the inception of the international series in 1991.
“It has been 15 years since the MercedesTrophy was born and since then, it has evolved into 540 MercedesTrophy invitation tournaments played in various parts of the world. Annually, more than 53,000 golfers worldwide participate in the competition – all aiming to qualify for the World Final in Stuttgart, Germany. This year is no exception as we have received more than 360 participants competing in one of four categories,” said Konstantinos Tsiknas, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, DaimlerChrysler Malaysia.
“We, at DaimlerChrysler Malaysia, aims to keep the MercedesTrophy ongoing as it helps us keep in touch with our buyers and Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts, and also it is our way of showing gratitude for their trust in the three-pointed star,” conclude Tsiknas. |
