Mercedes-Benz Malaysia further cemented its leadership position with year-to-date passenger car sales shooting up 70 per cent to 8,196 units from the 4,817 units sold in 2014. Malaysia currently represents the biggest market for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars in Southeast Asia.
As at August 2015, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia successfully sold 7,194 units surpassing the 6,932 units sold in FY2014, setting 2015 as another record breaking year.
In 3Q2015, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia upheld its four-digit sales figure to record 3,033 units. It charted a growth rate of 109 per cent from 1,451 units sold in 3Q2014.

The three consecutive four-digit sales figures in 3Q2015 is a welcomed addition to our string of record quarters. The locally produced Mercedes-Benz models, the C-, E-, and S-Class, dominated 3Q2015 sales, contributing a majority of 2,188 units. At the top, the C-Class registered 861 units, a 210 per cent increase from 3Q2014. Another strong contributor to Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s sales was the E-Class which more than doubled its sales figures in 3Q2015. With a 72 per cent increase from 3Q2014, the E-Class recorded 679 units.
Meanwhile, the locally-produced hybrid luxury S-Class maintained a strong momentum and continued uptrend, selling 648 units in the third quarter of 2015. This represents a 127 per cent increase from 3Q2014. The month of September represented Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s highest sales month for 3Q2015 with 235 units.
