Anyone with a vision needs the power to implement it before others do. In the S 63 AMG, this power is delivered by the AMG V8 biturbo engine. Developing 400 kW and a peak torque rating of 800 Nm, the S 63 AMG with twin turbochargers accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. Equally as impressive is the way power is controlled – thanks to the new AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sport transmission, the AMG high-performance composite braking system, AMG sport suspension and AMG sport steering wheel with aluminium shift paddles. Active wheel-load distribution and the crosswind stabilisation function are part of Active Body Control (ABC). They help to deliver optimum vehicle handling when adopting a dynamic driving style.
In the cockpit, the AMG instrument cluster with AMG main menu (including RACETIMER) offers information including engine oil temperature and selected gear. The S 63 AMG expresses its prodigious power through the AMG front apron, incl. AMG LED daytime driving lamps, side skirts and rear apron with diffuser-look in the vehicle's body colour. Features specific to the S 63 AMG are the AMG sports exhaust system with two square chrome tailpipes on each side as well as high-gloss triple-spoke AMG alloy wheels in titanium grey with mixed-size tyres (size 255/40 R19 at front and 275/40 R19 at rear). Optional extras include twin-spoke AMG forged wheels with a polished titanium grey finish and mixed-size tyres (size 255/35 R20 at front and 275/35 R20 at rear)
