One year after the introduction of the new generation M-Class, the ML 350 AMG Sports Edition still continues with its legacy.

It looks tougher than before, ever ready to take their owners on the roads less traveled and back in top form and in a state of alertness.

The AMG front apron with matt chrome underguard and integrated circular fog lamps with chrome surround completes the front section of the M-Class. At the rear, the AMG apron with underguard in matt chrome. The AMG twin oval exhaust tailpipes with AMG lettering conclude the aggressive rear design. The aluminium-look running boards, besides for being aesthetic, also serve as a stepping board.

The 21-inch alloy wheels, is the largest of its kind to be offered as standard fitment for the Malaysian market.

The very first look captures the attention of an onlooker that this vehicle is poised to steamroll any pocked roads into submission.

The 3.50 L power plant produces 200 kW (272 hp) powers the ML 350 AMG Sports Edition from standstill to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds. The 7G-TRONIC seven-speed automatic operates on a direct multiple downshift principle. This means that, when changing down quickly, the individual gears do not necessarily have to be selected in sequence. Instead, individual gear ratios can be skipped if required. Manual gear shifting is possible via the gear shift paddles.

Stepping into the interior, the neatly arrange range of equipment are ready to be guardian angels for safety, entertainment and convenience. The upper section of the dashboard is upholstered in ARTICO leather, which gives it a sporty feel.

The COMAND APS telematics system with a 6.5-inch colour display, has a 40-GB hard disc for storing navigation data. The COMAND APS also comprises a DVD changer along with a 4-GB MUSIC REGISTER for storing up 1000 tracks. If this is insufficient, the media interface provides input for portable audio devices such as iPod, USB and memory sticks.
The sound output is by a 12 -speaker 610 watts harmon-kardon sound system, the harmon-kardon sound system virtually transforms the ML 350 into a mobile theatre.

Operating safety is provided by the voice-control system, LINGUATRONIC, now vastly improved when entering a destination, selecting a radio station or calling up a name from the telephone directory. The driver no longer needs to spell out the names of countries, towns or roads but is able to speak / identify them as whole words instead.

The Bluetooth hands-free connectivity comes as a standard feature of the COMAND APS.

Other convenient and safety systems as standard are the memory seats for both front seats, reverse camera and PARKTRONIC.

The AIRMATIC Package improves suspension comfort and ride comfort on road as well as off-road dynamics.

With a decent 500-litre boot volume, it is sufficient to carry the needs of everyone.

The off-road pro technology package equipped the vehicle to conquer any tough terrain. With AIRMATIC package the fording depth is 600mm and ground clearance being 299mm. Even a 45-degree slope is not an obstacle.

The Mercedes-Benz M-Class has always set the benchmark in terms of safety in the SUV segment. Leaving the unforgiving terrain to be conquered by the intrepid M-Class, the occupants are all housed safely inside a sturdy safety cell with 8 airbags. The front seats are even equipped with NECK-PRO active crash head restraints and PRE-SAFE positioning. The 4-zone THERMOTRONIC luxurious automatic climate control provides comfort for every occupant.

The adventure does not end when the sun sets. The bi-xenon Active Headlights System provides illumination for the darkest corners until the destination is finally reached, safe and sound.
