If there is a risk of wheels spinning on surfaces with varying degrees of grip, selective brake actuation instantaneously redirects the engine's torque to the wheels that are not spinning. The electronic dynamic handling control system (4ESP®/4ETS) with integral ABS and ASR is adjusted to the special requirements of the all-wheel drive. It automatically directs the drive torque to the wheels with the best tyre grip, affording excellent traction and directional stability.
