 The brakes for the OH1521/60 are equipped with a dual-circuit compressed air system. The brake system has a braking area of 5154 square centimetre.
The parking brake is air-operated with a spring loaded chamber. In case of emergency, it can be used to stop the vehicle quickly and safely.

The exhaust brake is joined to the service brake and is operated through an electrical control key on the dashboard.
