| The Mercedes-Benz brand has a long and rich heritage in Malaysia, dating back to the beginning of the 20th century. This heritage is set to grow even stronger with the recent incorporation of DaimlerChrysler (DC) Malaysia, a joint venture between DC and Cycle & Carriage Bintang Berhad.
DaimlerChrysler Malaysia office started operations on 1 January 2003 and is located at the spectacular Menara TM building in Kuala Lumpur.
DaimlerChrysler Malaysia manages the wholesale distribution of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and commercial vehicles, smart passenger cars, Maybach passenger cars, Mitsubishi Fuso Commercial Vehicles, and spare parts in Malaysia and employs around 250 people. In the near future, the company intends to introduce its other brands to the country, especially Chrysler and Jeep. |
In 02 January 2008, DaimlerChrysler Malaysia is now Mercedes-Benz Malaysia.
DaimlerChrysler Malaysia Sdn Bhd has been renamed Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Sdn Bhd in line with the global name change from DaimlerChrysler to Daimler AG to better reflect the nature of the group’s business.
